This is something new and exciting because the player can improve their gang reputation or ‘street credit’ by killing members of the opposing faction. By killing members of an opposing side, you will get more points than if you do otherwise.
For example, a player who is affiliated with the Triad faction is better off killing the Yakuza members on the Fight Page as the player will then get higher faction points for being a loyal killer. Another interesting bit in Bangkok is that loyalty to one criminal organization is important; therefore, you and your clan mates / friends will really have to organize yourselves in only 1 faction to become stronger.
There are now 90 new jobs to do in Mafia Wars Bangkok which can earn you more powerful items. Even if you have low Energy in Bangkok’s faction based fighting, they can now go higher up in the rankings much easier. But, the higher your faction standing, the better items or weapons you can acquire from your faction which is why most players try for the high attack items by joining the Yakuza.
