Armor is used by the player for job prerequisites and in heists, war, hitlisting, and fights with other players or bosses. Each piece of armor has an attack and defense rating for whichever the player is currently doing. The higher these ratings, the better the chance of victory. When fighting, a player can utilize 1 piece of armor for as many people are currently in their mafia – up to a maximum of 501.

The key to Mafia Wars is to advance by levelling up – as quickly as possible. You’ll start off as a with a basic set of skills as a street thug within a family residing in the Bronx but will soon realise that if you’re going to get anywhere you’re going to have to train. World domination simply doesn’t happen for those who sit back and watch the world go by.
If you are looking for the Ultimate Mafia Wars Level guide with specifics to get through the various Mafia wars levels, then you should check out the Dominate Mafia Wars guide– definitely gave me the edge after cluelessly messing around for weeks.
As you progress you gain experience that will build until you move up through the mafia wars levels which also allows access to new parts of the game. Your ultimate aim is level 600.
Experience points are gained by carrying out jobs, fighting and then honing these skills in Boss fights.
A brief over view of the first 100 Mafia wars levels that you will be faced with throughout the game with relevant experience needed to progress is as follows:

For the most part I followed the advice I gave in my original blog – I dumped most of my profile points into energy. When I first started playing, however, I didn’t follow this strategy because I didn’t know any better. This is why you’ll see I have a fairly well built-up attack, defense, and stamina.

Rubles are difficult to gain in the Moscow expansion. Selling off items you no longer need is an excellent way to reduce your bribe penalty and get 50% back on the money you originally invested into the purchased item.
Use the charts below to see when you no longer need a particular item.
Required Weapons for Jobs
- (m) = Mafia Only
- (v) = Vory Only
